It was nice on Sunday

Great Dun Fell in the sun. Highest tarmac road in Britain. Bongi dog highest JR on Britain's roads. Cumbria's Mont Ventoux.

Always take a camera

Up at Honister slate mine yesterday for Bongi dog walk up Dale Head.  Glorious weather.  Snapped on the Leica M9.

Nov 20th Northern Powerhouse Business Breakfast

Up at the crack of dawn to capture Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State James Wharton talking to a packed house of insomniacs about the Northern Powerhouse. Dalston Hall, Cumbria. Click on image to see more.

Opening of Vallum Ditch gallery University of Cumbria

On a shoot for Carlisle Living and Cumbria Life to take images of the opening of a new gallery space at the University. Cumbrian born artist Conrad Atkinson did the honours. No flash allowed, so these images were taken with available light.

Britain's Energy Coast Business Cluster meeting at Energus

Just joined the BECBC and went along to Energus for my first meeting. Great buzz, some really friendly people and great business connections. Thanks to the University of Cumbria for the tasty lunch. Love the "Starship Enterprise" in the lecture theatre.

Warm Fuzzy Feeling

Two day's photography at Warwick Mill Business Centre for their new web site and a lovely comment from Emma about my work. Posted on Twitter :-)))

Tour De France

The greatest cycle race in the world comes to Bradfield in Yorkshire. I was commissioned by the University of Sheffield to capture the atmosphere and the mayhem. What a day!!

Oct 29th ibexcreative Kendal

Visit over to the lovely people at ibexcreative in Kendal. If you need a creative web site, these are the guys and girls to see. Dramatic ride back on the GS across Shap Fell on the A6 - much more interesting than the motorway route. Snapped on the Panasonic Lumix.

October 25th Cumbria Life

My photo of the lovely team at BBC Radio Cumbria used as a double page spread in November's edition of Cumbria Life magazine. Radio Cumbria celebrates 40 years of broadcasting. I had wanted to take the photograph outside, with the enigmatic Carlisle castle as a classic backdrop, however in true Cumbria style, it threw it down! Plan B was to shoot in the studios, a little bit cramped, but I just managed to squeeze everyone in. All good fun and a great bunch of people.

October 24th

At last the rain has stopped and a fantastic autumnal day. Eden Valley portfolio shots down in Coombes wood near Armathwaite capturing the amazing light. I've left the flair in on the bottom left on the leaf shot, thought it added to the vibrancy of the image. Captured on a Leica M9 and a variety of lenses, for anyone who's interested.

October A wet day in Newcastle

Waiting most of the day in Newcastle for the GS to be serviced I naturally took my camera. A series of snaps whilst I wandered around in the drizzle. Great soft light and a truly inspirational place. How many cups of coffee!!
