On a shoot for Carlisle Living and Cumbria Life to take images of the opening of a new gallery space at the University. Cumbrian born artist Conrad Atkinson did the honours. No flash allowed, so these images were taken with available light.
Just joined the BECBC and went along to Energus for my first meeting. Great buzz, some really friendly people and great business connections. Thanks to the University of Cumbria for the tasty lunch. Love the "Starship Enterprise" in the lecture theatre.

Lashing rain reduces Newbiggin Fell to mean and moody. Always take a camera.....
Visit over to the lovely people at ibexcreative in Kendal. If you need a creative web site, these are the guys and girls to see. Dramatic ride back on the GS across Shap Fell on the A6 - much more interesting than the motorway route. Snapped on the Panasonic Lumix.
My photo of the lovely team at BBC Radio Cumbria used as a double page spread in November's edition of Cumbria Life magazine. Radio Cumbria celebrates 40 years of broadcasting. I had wanted to take the photograph outside, with the enigmatic Carlisle castle as a classic backdrop, however in true Cumbria style, it threw it down! Plan B was to shoot in the studios, a little bit cramped, but I just managed to squeeze everyone in. All good fun and a great bunch of people.
At last the rain has stopped and a fantastic autumnal day. Eden Valley portfolio shots down in Coombes wood near Armathwaite capturing the amazing light. I've left the flair in on the bottom left on the leaf shot, thought it added to the vibrancy of the image. Captured on a Leica M9 and a variety of lenses, for anyone who's interested.
Waiting most of the day in Newcastle for the GS to be serviced I naturally took my camera. A series of snaps whilst I wandered around in the drizzle. Great soft light and a truly inspirational place. How many cups of coffee!!
